Do's and don'ts for the perfect summer look
Summer is packed with beach parties and barbecues. Avoid a style slip-up with these do’s and don’ts, and effortlessly put together the perfect men’s summer look.

How to put together a trendy outfit:

  1. Simple T-shirts and polo shirts
With a few T-shirts and polo shirts in solid colours, you can make endless combinations. Above all, don't be afraid to experiment with colour here
  2. A summery blazer
A cotton or linen blazer is a wise investment because the fabrics are airy and at the same time keep you nice and warm during cool summer evenings.
  3. Leave your socks at home
Leaving off your socks is not only pleasant for your feet, you also look stylish. Sneaker socks are the perfect solution if you can't do without.
  4. Coordinating with your partner.
Discuss in advance which outfit you're going to wear. That way you can be sure that your clothing styles match and whether the summer outfit for men you have in mind is actually appropriate.

How to get it wrong:

  1. T-shirt with a slogan, large illustration or joke
Take other guests into account and consider for yourself whether the T-shirt is actually appropriate. Not everyone shares the same sense of humour or views. This also applies to family members.
  2. Shorts that are too tight and show too much leg
A pair of shorts looks best when it comes to just above the knee with about 2.5 cm of room between your skin and the fabric. So don't go for baggy three-quarter trousers either!
  3. Distracting accessories
With an effective summer outfit for men, the clothing speaks for itself. So don't leave the house with a motley collection of necklaces, rings and wristbands.
  4. Clothing made of fabric that's too thick
It's fine to prepare for a summer shower or the cool evening hours, but you do want to stay comfortable. A stylish overshirt or a denim jacket is the best option.
